"On the 25^th June I was invited to present prizes at the CALM Charity golf day at Wrag Barn Golf Club, Highworth. The Deputy Mayoress accompanied me.

Calm was established in 1984, and for 25 years have supported all families in the Swindon Health Area with a child on treatment for cancer or leukaemia. It is run entirely voluntarily by parents.

The golf tournament had been taking place throughout the whole day in the very hot sun. We were welcomed by Richard Crowley, Sam Jarvis and Janine Coward, and we enjoyed a very nice meal with them before presenting the awards. There was also an auction and raffle."
